Thanksgiving

Is there anything better than a holiday that revolves around a meal? I cherish the annual tradition of our family gathering around the table to celebrate Thanksgiving. There is something special about slowing down and spending time together over delicious food.

Setting the Scene

The rich, vibrant hue of emerald green has forever been one of my favorite colors, but I especially adore it during fall. Its ideal intensity pairs perfectly with other jewel-toned color family members like topaz, amber, and garnet. When I came across this incredible and unique turkey centerpiece, it instantly became the inspiration behind the theme for Thanksgiving this year. Fresh white plates with subtle windowpane plaid adorned rims, alongside tortoise flatware, emerald glassware, all balanced on a plaid tablecloth with matching napkins create the eye-pleasing yet functional aspect of the table spread.

From the decorative perspective, rattan pumpkins made from neutral-toned vine joined by a variety of real gourds bring in a hint of natural detail and texture. Tall, tapered candles atop glistening gold holders provide an elegant variance in height amongst the more petite decor pieces. Finally, florals are forever on my list of essentials in every tablescape. Jewel-tone blooms resting in a deep green vase complete the decorative design.
