As we welcome the start of the fall season, our thoughts and intentions begin to turn towards things we are thankful and grateful for. Often, family and friends find themselves at the top of the list. Celebrate your connections and relationships, whether they be old or new, by starting a supper club with your favorite folks. Enjoy taking turns hosting dinner at each other’s homes for a warm and welcoming way to get together. Supper club is a great way to build community.
When my name comes up on the rotation, I like to serve a traditional southern meal such as fried chicken, mac and cheese, green beans, sweet tea with lemons, warmed olives, and a bread basket. My crew always expresses enthusiasm for dessert, so I set up a salted caramel boozy brownie sundae station along with coffee service and Jackson Morgan cocktails to satisfy the crowd’s confection craving.
For the table, start with basic white dishes. Jazz up with monogram linen napkins and placemats. I love the green monogram because you can use for spring and Christmas parties too. Grocery store flowers are easily arranged for the centerpiece.
