Ready or not, we are sledding into the holiday season. This is the most wonderful time of the year to pull out Jackson Morgan Southern Cream in Peppermint Mocha flavor and invite a few friends over for a festive get together. This season, we encourage you to keep things casual. Not every Christmas occasion has to be fancy china and crystal glasses. I experienced just as much joy putting together this casual Christmas tablescape as a more elaborate one. The centerpiece is a simple wreath with a cake stand in the middle. (Tip: Look for a live wreath, it will fill the room with a festive aroma.) Featured on the cake stand, we highlighted a custom “Jackson Morgan” gingerbread house from Triple Crown Bakery. HomeGoods is one of my favorite hot spots for holiday shopping. For all things festive, from fancy to frugal, I am always pleased with what I find. These Merry and Bright plates with matching candy-stripe cups were a HomeGoods hit this season. A Rudolph red stripe runner from Hester and Cook brings a bright pop of pattern to the table. Their brown craft paper placemats compliment the wood tones in the tablescape as well. For a quick and simple shift to set the scene for party time, I wrapped my regular kitchen artwork in brown craft paper then used washi tape to attach Lindsay Letter’s 12 Days of Christmas printable artwork.
