The Table
We wanted the setup to feel relaxed but elevated with nostalgic summer touches throughout the party. We used my grandmother’s handmade quilt as the tablecloth, added an over the table rod with wicker solar lights, and layered in vintage coolers filled with beverages to create a cozy lakeside atmosphere.
For dinner, we set up a brat topping station with sauerkraut, relish, mustard, ketchup, and all the fun toppings for guests to build their own plates after a long lake day. One of my favorite details was a melamine bobber that held plates and cups, playful, practical, and perfect for the lake.
Lakeside Bites & Docktails
After a long lake day, there is nothing better than throwing a few brats on the grill, opening a cold cocktail, and letting everyone gather outside while the sun starts to set. We kept the menu casual and easy to pull together with grilled brats and toasted buns with optional toppings.
As the grill cooled down and the fire pit got going, we brought out the s’mores tray complete with graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate bars for roasting.
Sweet Little Send Off
We also put together one of our favorite little hosting touches for the Sip Into Summer party: mini packaged s’mores kits and a bottle of Jackson Morgan for guests to take home. It is an easy party favor idea that feels thoughtful without being over complicated.
