Color Scheme
I wanted to elevate the traditional orange and black colors you normally see this time of year. Buffalo plaid seemed like the perfect fit for a causal yet elevated Halloween party. The bonus is the tablecloth and pumpkins will work all fall and into Thanksgiving. I used black and white tones with a touch of gold throughout the party for a cohesive look.
Decor
Different style pumpkins with flameless candles surrounded by dripping dried moss set the scene down the center of the table. Black taper candles and fake spider web around the chandelier gave a spooky feel perfect for Halloween night. Skeletons were posed on each side of the table, one with candy for trick or treaters.
Calligraphy
My philosophy is that everything looks better in calligraphy. I had a good friend write out where all the food and drinks were going to be placed on these whimsical paper bats from Hester and Cook. They are my go to for paper runners, placemats, place cards, etc. I used mini close pins to attach the “cocktail” bat to a wreath above the bar cart.
