Ingredients:
· 8 Gala or Fuji Apples
· 3 Tablespoons Butter
· 1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
· Pinch of Cinnamon
· 2 Tablespoons Jackson Morgan Southern Cream, Brown Cinnamon Sugar
Topping
· 1/2 Cup Flour
· ¼ Cup Old Fashion Rolled Oats
· 1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
· ¼ Cup Sugar
· Pinch of Salt
· ½ Teaspoon Cinnamon
· 4 Tablespoons Butter, cubed
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease a square 8 x 8 baking pan with butter. You can also use a baking sheet, but a pan keeps the apples from falling over.
2. Make the topping first. Mix together flour, oats, brown sugar, sugar, salt, and cinnamon until well combined. Cube the butter and mix in using a fork.
3. Take four of the apples and chop into little pieces. In a sauce pan, mix chopped apples, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and Jackson Morgan. Allow to cook over low/medium heat for 8 minutes.
4. For the remaining four apples, remove the top (try to keep even) scoop out the insides and make a place for the apple filling.
5. Using the mixture in the sauce pan, fill the apples. Top with the topping made in step 2. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
6. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a glass of Jackson Morgan Southern Cream.
