Galentine’s Day Cookies and Coffee Party

Valentine’s Day is only a few weeks away, this holiday is the perfect reason to let those close to you know they are loved. A less known holiday is February 13th, Galentine’s Day where you celebrate the friendships in your life. Celebrating your sisterhood is simple with tasty tidbits like cookie decorating and coffee Jackson Morgan cocktails. Show guests a good time with a crafty make-and-take. Gather up the gals to create bouquets from bundles of bright blooms wrapped in pretty paper. The floral arrangements will keep smiles on your friends’ faces long after the cookies and Jackson Morgan cocktails are gone.

The table was a cinch to gussy up for our gal’s gathering with an “XOXO” motif paper table runner with from Celebrate We Will. Heart-shaped dessert plates provide an elegant yet dainty feel to the table decor. Making a special appearance for the event, the pink coupe glasses we raised for the toast at our wedding complimented each place setting. Fresh flowers lined the center of the table, pulling double duty as decor and parting gifts. A  tip for finding blooms is to locate your local wholesale flower shop for more variety and better pricing. Along with the flowers, I had red taper candles to add a little height to the table.

Delightful cookie decorating confections included various icing, sprinkles, and candy. Situated on the table were various Valentine’s Day cookies and sweets along with boozy brownies spiked with Jackson Morgan Southern Cream in peppermint mocha. Set up a scene that welcomes your guests and helps them feel loved on Galentine’s Day.
