4th of July Outdoor Party

Summer is the perfect opportunity for a backyard bash! Grill out this Fourth of July and invite friends over to celebrate.

For decor, I always recommend “shopping” your home first. Sometimes pieces intended for one season can pull double duty in a different setting. The red and white striped table runner you feature on your Christmas table could resurface for Valentine’s and Independence Day. We can keep this trick in mind when shopping for new items as well.

I found this acrylic tabletop vase from Amazon, and while I knew it was perfect for our grill out. I could definitely envision highlighting it in other holidays as well. One of the features I love most is that with its more petite height, it does not block your view of other guests across the table.

Blue and white star napkins alongside red-accented flatware give a little pizazz to each place setting. Mini star bowls filled with patriotic candy were the perfect spot for a mini bottle of Jackson Morgan for party favors. Everything really pops against the festive red, white, and blue checked tablecloth. Tuck in a few American flags here and there for a nod to the holiday.

Sip Tip: For a visually appealing way to keep drinks cold on a warm summer day, nestle beverages between frozen water balloons that reflect the party color scheme.
