Contrary to popular belief, hosting a brunch does not mean you must be up and baking a bountiful buffet in the kitchen before dawn. Sleep in the day of when you keep the menu easy with make-ahead recipes like our family’s favorite Jackson Morgan spiked pumpkin roll. You can also lean on simple kitchen concoctions like our waffle board that can be made in minutes.
There is no rule in brunch that states all items served must come from your kitchen. Consider including specialties from your favorite shops. Southern Baked Pies can actually ship their sweet and savory pies frozen for last-minute entertaining, and they have just about every flavor you could fancy. There is also nothing wrong with adding a spirited upgrade to common grocery store staples. Around here, it’s no surprise we like to spike cinnamon donuts with shots of Jackson Morgan whiskey cream.
Here is my menu of brunch bites and beverages. Circle back around to The Sip as I will be sharing tips, sips, and recipes soon from our fall brunch party!
