Color Scheme

Since it was an outdoor party, I wanted cheerful colors. The rainbow table runner set the scene followed by the bright yellow watering can as a flower vase. I used basic white hydrangeas from the grocery store for flowers, I always keep a few of these around the house during the summer months for impromptu gatherings. Pink silverware and colorful napkins added to the color scheme.

With the help of the Big Green Egg, we grilled flatbreads for an elevated pizza party. Along with the pizza, I served an easy Caesar salad. I had toppings for the pizza by the grill for a build your own pizza. Fresh basil in a mason jar, mozzarella, tomatoes, olive oil, and pepperonis was the base for the pizzas. You can add any of your favorite pizza toppings. For dessert, we served boozy ice cream and festive toppings for sundaes. The boozy ice cream recipes are coming soon to The Sip.

Tablescape

I wanted to keep the decor simple for this table. I used a colorful paper Hester and Cook runner as the base. Instead of traditional plates, I used wooden serving boards. These boards look like mini pizza paddles and could double as a party favor for guests. If given the option, I always go for melamine serving dishes and cups when hosting outside to minimize broken pieces. I adore Sugar and Cloth’s line on Amazon for tableware. The silverware, straws, napkins, and ice cream coupes are all disposable without looking inexpensive, this makes clean up a breeze too.
