A bottle of Jackson Morgan is a must. Choose a flavor based on the season and you cannot go wrong. Include a local favorite, like homemade jam, that guests cannot get anywhere else. This is like taking home a trinket of treasure or a sweet souvenir from your best-loved vacation spot. Seasonal candles are a great gift that keeps giving every time they light it. I enjoy selecting a pumpkin scent for Thanksgiving guests.
Pitch in a bottle of water or two that guests can enjoy upon arrival, or when they wake in the night and do not want to disturb the rest of the house by attempting to feel their way to the kitchen. It is always a good idea to have access to aqua! Finally, toss in any other tiny touches to make your guests feel warmly welcomed and special.
