Theme

What is a summer party without bright pops of color and pink flamingos? Since flamingos are all the rage right now, it was easy to find details that went with our theme. Flamingo pool floats, yard ornaments, and candles were the perfect addition to this party. I found a vintage yellow cooler and knew it would look cute and keep drinks cool. The fringe umbrellas and woven drink dispenser added a fun texture to the party.

Decor

Pool floats make the best decor for poolside parties. We used the flamingo floats in two different colors and a pineapple float to jazz up the pool area. Our Jackson Morgan beach towels doubled as decor and party favors. Colorful pillows added a nice pop of color to the loungers. I rolled my bar cart outside to serve drinks and sweets. My favorite monogrammed Lettermade napkins and bamboo flatware dressed up the cart. Abigail T. Calligraphy made the cutest sign for our cocktails.

The Menu

For this party, I kept the menu simple with just pink cupcakes and macarons. We served Jackson Morgan in whipped orange and banana pudding for cocktails. Since it is so hot in Tennessee during the summer, lemon water in a drink dispenser is a must. I love the idea of pairing this party with a backyard bbq and serving your favorite grilled items in the evening.
