Theme
For the color palette, I was inspired by sprinkles. I used bright tones and incorporated our Jackson Morgan stripe beach towels for guests to dry off after a dip in the pool. I had a bar height table with a vintage milkshake mixer and toppings for a build your own milkshake bar. At the table, I had coupe glasses with more ice cream toppings and Jackson Morgan as a centerpiece for guests to make ice cream sundaes.
Decor
Since we were outside and ice cream can be messy, I kept the decor very simple. To keep with the theme, I used several items from Hester and Cook’s summer line including the sprinkle place mats, sprinkle place cards, ice cream papers, ice cream gift tag, and green stripe runner. For the table, I had scalloped napkins, stripe coupe glasses, disposable plates, silverware all from Sugar and Cloth’s new party line available on Amazon. I love these pieces, because they are pretty and disposable for a quick clean up. Nora Fleming’s new melamine collection was perfect for displaying milkshake and sundae toppings.
The Menu
For the menu, I had milkshakes and sundaes. We served salted caramel, banana split, and peppermint milkshakes. I added our favorite toppings such as sprinkles, brownies, cookies, chocolate syrup, chocolate chips, cherries, chocolate covered pretzels, caramel sauce, homemade whipped cream, and chocolate covered bananas. You can easily customize this with your preferred toppings.
